USO of Metropolitan Washington and New York Salon Warren-Tricomi Host a "Beauty Boost" for Women Affected by the War on Terror

New York city’s busiest salon Warren-Tricomi and Katie Lee Joel, wife of legendary singer Billy Joel, have joined with USO-Metro to give a complimentary ‘Beauty Boost’ to support the countless women providing emotional assistance to the US troops returning home from war. Many amputees and severely wounded service men and women are returning home to spend several challenging months of recovery in hospitals throughout the Washington DC area. It is the wives, mothers and daughters in their inner support system that could use a ‘Beauty Boost’ to lift their spirits during this time. Out of pure devotion, these dedicated women are rehabilitating from injuries or striving to give their men the hope and determination necessary during their recovery.

Celebrity stylist Edward Tricomi and top colorist Joel Warren, owners of the prestigious Warren-Tricomi salon, Katie Lee, and USO-Metro gave the many women affected by war a Beauty Boost consisting of free beauty treatments at the Mandarin Hotel in Washington, DC, on Thursday May 26th. Top stylists and technicians offered complimentary haircuts, blowouts, manicures, eyebrow services and full makeovers.

Organizer and passionate supporter Katie Lee said, "When I visited Walter Reed on a USO handshake tour with my husband, I was moved by the love and devotion of the mothers, wives, and girlfriends of the wounded soldiers. Day after day, these women are by their sides throughout the entire recovery process. They, too, need to be recognized for their patriotism."
