While Supporting the Troops

Fort Myer , VA , October 15, 2007- The USO of Metropolitan Washington (USO-Metro) is hosting its 2nd Annual Oktoberfest celebration at Max Blob's Park, the Bavarian Biergarten on October 19th. Festivities begin at 6:30pm and include traditional polka music provided by the Rheinlanders, dancing, German food, prizes and fun. This will be the last Oktoberfest celebrated at Blob's Park before it closes its doors next year.

Tickets cost $35 ($20 is tax deductible) and include an all-you-can-eat buffet of bratwurst and other traditional Oktoberfest favorites. Proceeds from ticket sales help USO-Metro support military service members and their families who live, work and visit the Washington-Baltimore area. The Oktoberfest event has been organized by USO volunteers from the USO International Gateway Lounge at BWI Airport , and is sponsored by Skye Hospitality, the local award winning hotelier.

Join Miss Maryland , the BWI Airport Club and other patriots in supporting a worthwhile organization while celebrating Oktoberfest. Two free tickets on American Airlines will be raffled off.
